"Hey Boo, Let Me Holla Atchu!"...."I'll Pass..."

So we've all seen the "rules" and things Guys shouldn't or should do.. and quite frankly-they really are not that good So here is a REAL list of real things to do&not to do.

1. So let's talk about the game. Dating is a game. We have all played it & will continue to play it until we find "Mr. or Mrs. Perfect" BUT LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS. Why does every girl love The Notebook? We don't expect to have this perfect fairytale life-but Noah was straight up REAL. We love real. Which leads us to #2-------------->
2. If your always trying to be "cool" you will never be "real" to us. JUST BE REAL!
3. Please Brush your teeth- have a pack of gum in your car at all times. Please scan the car mirror before you leave so you can make sure you don't have any left over toothpaste, spit or food on your mouth.
4. BE A GENTLEMAN! It's not hard. Grab our doors. Don't stare at other girls when you are out with us. Do not hock a loogy around us, and certainly do not interrupt us when we are talking with you.
5. Do not curse. Using poor language makes you look stupid and uneducated, not to mention, it makes you look like a tool.
6. Show genuine interest in our family and friends. If you remember our siblings names-you're in & It is so touching when you show your love for your mom
7. Lets talk about swag. If you have swag-you DON'T know you have it. Don't label your pics as "swaggin" or say swag out loud. Swag is not just a type of style its a demeanor.
8. How to Kiss- You should know by now. Don't be tongue happy, but you need to know how to use it.
9. Girls want a Good guy- "I want a bad boy phase" is over. Honestly, we are looking to bring home someone we know can have a conversation with our dad while we are getting ready. One who can get down on the floor with my handicapped sister and read her favorite books to her. One of the first things I think of when I have a crush on a guy is: would he mesh well if I brought him around my family?
10. Don't play "Too hard to get" & don't be clingy. Don't get it twisted.
11. We like goodnight texts. We like good morning texts. Waiting to try and "pretend like you weren't thinking about me" doesn't work.
12. How to hold hands- The spaces between our fingers were made for yours. Make.it.fit.
13. Make us laugh. Be goofy. We love it. Sing with us in the car- There is nothing more attractive than a funny guy.
14. Never talk about the price on the menu being too expensive- if you want a second date the money will be worth your time. Plus, it shows a lack of preparation on your part f you take us somewhere too pricy. P.S. be nice to waitress.
15. Tip well. We NOTICE.
16. We love to hear about your goals, ambitions, and current plans but unless you are walkin' that walk' it's not worth talkin' the talk. Let us see these intimate things about you. It shows a level of maturity.
17. A guy in a black suit and tie becomes a man in our eyes.
18. Compliment us. But a little secret about girls- is sometimes we don't know how to take compliments very well. But we appreciate your sincerity
19. Respect our Innocence. Don't play with the line. We should never have to ask you to slow down.
20. Do not get highlights or die your hair. You might as well go get fake eyelashes while you're at it.
21. Don't be on your phone all night.
22. A little jealousy is kind of cute. Don't be overprotective but letting people know we're your girl makes us feel like, “yep, he's my man.”.
23. NO MORE ED HARDY/AFFLICTION/MEK or BUCKLE JEANS.
24. Don't be creepy. Don't show up at our work unless we've established some sort of relationship. If you saw us out somewhere and let us know later via internet or text...it's kind of creepy. If you couldn't muster up the courage to come say hey or even wave, why are you trying to communicate through a key board?
25. Let us talk! We want to tell you everything that is going on in our life. It might be about an unjust professor, a cute thing our little sister did, an event coming up, or anything. At least act like you are interested.
26. Video games are annoying. very immature and pointless in our eyes. We don't like to sit and watch you play Halo. No girl does.
27. We like to shop, let us shop. You can play your video games while we shop.
28. If you take more time to get ready than your woman- not ok.
29. Watching you fidget is quite hilarious. It's cute to see your knee shake, nails bitten short, and feet fumble around.
30. Stick with your talents, athletics, and hobbies. We love to hear about your ball game or how the powder was, even if we don't necessarily understand the logistics.
31. Don't be afraid to tell us “no”. When a guy says “how high?” when we say “jump”, it shows that you are trying too hard to please us, or that you might be putting other important things (school, work, church duties, etc.) ahead of us. It's flattering, but a guy who can't balance life isn't going to get too far.
32. Don't be afraid to show human emotions around us. I like knowing that I am dating a real boy and not some puppet or robot. Which segways well to #33....
33. Do not make your profile pic on Facebook one of your car. On top of not wanting to date puppets or robots, I don't want to date a transformer. Remember, potential employers are going to be checking that.
34. Do not forget the small stuff. We love the little acts of kindness that let us know you were thinking about us. Finding notes in our car, little voicemails when you know we are in class or at work, kisses on the forehead or holding our hand under the table at a meal make us melt. We don't need a grand gesture, just small and simple:)
35. Play with our hair. You like it, we love it. It's a win-win.
